La Bonne Etoile
Fontaine-Fourches, France

la bonne etoile

La Bonne Etoile is a renovated 150 year old farmhouse/artists' retreat in the small village of Fontaine-Fourches, France, 60 miles southeast of Paris. Owners Kippy Hammond la bonne etoileand husband Jerome Henriquez redesigned its 200 year old barn to house a 1200 sq. foot studio, equipped with skylights and balanced artificial lighting.

The residence has five bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, and a large salon with fireplace, which is in use all year depending on the la bonne etoileweather. The common living area is furnished with french antiques; the baby grand piano has a wonderful touch and is kept tuned.

A courtyard opens to a sloping two acre garden that boasts trees bearing crops of apples, pears, plums, cherries, walnuts and hazelnuts. Nestled in the roses you will find herbs, tomatoes, peppers and other items that will eventually find their way to the dinner table.

Meals, prepared by the staff of La Bonne Etoile, are taken either at the expandable dining room table or on low tables in front of the fire. During the summer months, meals are eaten on the terrace in the courtyard.

The friends and staff of La Bonne Etoile enjoy providing a fun, productive time for those that choose to create and recreate at La Bonne Etoile.
